Question

Are wrx and "normal" impreza's shells the same (MY94-99)? I mean in terms of structural ridgity. Do wrx's have more welds (or some other design difference) to make them more rigid? Probably some STi's or RA's are more rigid, but I'm wondering about uk or euro spec wrx's compared to naturally aspirated imprezas.

Thanks,
kotaro

my 97 wrx does not have split folding rear seats and has a bar that is bolted across the rear of the back bench

not sure if this would have any effect or not?
i belive the RB5 is the same?

Thumbs up

thanks a lot for the reply ...so I guess this means that the extra (if any) ridgity of a wrx shell would come not from the shell itself but from different parts installed in the car...mh interesting.
