99,turbo drives ok when warming up get a flat spot at around 3000-3500rpm,subaru recon the timing is out which the knock sensor adjust after changing the oil,(i say what a load of s**t!)

As any1 had this fault & Please help!
Would be greatfull 4 any sugestions

MAF on the way out. Will lean out the mixture acroos the range, but will show up particularly badly in that region as it's a bit lean (or a bit 'only just' anyway ) in that region anyway.
A good idea to change it early, before anything nasty happens...

It also can happen if you hold 3000 revs for a few secs then floor it. Something to do with the ECU thinking its on a Johnny Foreigners MOT test.The ECU restricts fueling to get pass the emmissions test.
I used to get it as well (MY99) but now Nom mentions it it has cleared up since changing the MAF.
If your not sure what your looking at come to the LADS meeting this Sunday. Info is in the Northern section (EAST Lancs Scoob Thread posted by Trev) there will be a few "experts" there to give you a hand / lend you a good MAF for 10 mins etc
