help fitting Knocklink
I have just purchased a Knockling through a group buy on here and have tried a few local garages and auto electric people but none of them want to fit it so i am going to have a go myself.......it seems pretty simple apart from finding the knock sensor already fitted to the car. Do Imprezas have a sensor already fitted or do i have to fit one from scratch? If there is one fitted where is it and what am i looking for?
Also any hints and tips for fitting this also where is the best place to mount the Knocklink Box i have seen them fitted in the centre console but wonder if theat is a good place as its a long way from your sight when driving.

You need a sensor, presume you didn't buy one, just the display?

Sensor bolts onto n/s of top of crankcase, under intercooler, M8 thread IIRC. There is a pre-tapped hole available.
I've mounted my k/l to the left of the instrument panel, just under the fuel, and temp gauges, stuck to the black plastic surround. It's visible, and not in the way.
