Ive got a 97 sport and i suspect the oil cooler is allowing oil in the the water, any ideas how easy this is to fix?

If you have oil in the water then it will most likely be one of the head gaskets..

i had the engine tested at thames valley motorsport and they found nothing wrong with the gaskets, if it was the head gasket the water would be in the oil, this is not happening which leasd me to think it could be an oil cooler or heater matrix issue

The gasket may be gone where the oil is at higher pressure than the water.. therefore you won't get any water in the oil..

Surprized the place that checked it didn't find a problem though... clearly there is a problem somewhere hence the oil in the water..

Try taking it somewhere else.. or continue driving it at your own risk until it gets bad enough to become clear where the problem is.. personnally I'd be changing the head gaskets..
