Boost solenoid question.

92 WRX.std appart from de cat.
If I boot car from 1st gear no probs good through all gears.
If I gear down or decide to nail it in second I get a sqeeck/ rasp/sucking
noise that seems to come from either the boost solenoid or
around that far right side area.
I have clean the solenoid as best I can but still does it.

Any Ideas.
If it is solenoid sticking etc, I've heard about dawes etc
what do they do etc .
