just wondering my car (93 wrx) is 240 bhp have been told that from november 94 the wrx became 260 bhp . is this true and if so is it in the ecu and would the later ecu fit my car .

Yes, from around october the new model year comes in, the MY95's had 260ps (note not bhp which is less than this) but only on 100 ron fuel.
Your car will be around 240ps (as stated, on 100 ron fuel, 97 ron super unleaded) would knock this down a good 7bhp to around 230bhp.
The MY95 ecu also ironed out some bugs that the MY92/93 ecu had, its a cheap way of getting more power but you will have to tell your insurance co that you have replaced your ecu.

Question

You also never stated if your car is 4 or 5 door as there are some more differences in these models (ie saloon v wagon).

Or better still fit a Scoobyecu this will safetly increase the power with revised fuel and ignition maps for UK fuel (98Ron)
