Just a quick question from a newby.

Should an import be run on Super Unleaded / Optimax or should it be run on normal unleaded with a boost additive.

I'm thinking more in terms of a 94 Import

Ideally, if it hasn't been remapped for UK use, and it's a Japanese import, it should be run on Super Unleaded/ optimax AND octane booster additive. In Japan, they are set up for 100RON fuel, even optimax is only 98 point something.

If the car has been mapped for UK use does that mean it is okay to run on Optimax.

.........and would that put any strain on the engine over and above Optimax and additive?

if it has been remapped, it should be ok to run optimax/ultimate
without any extra boosters, as then you may be suffering with boost cut syndrone.
