OEM dumpvalve or Upgraded?
All the dump valves do (from what I've been told) is it increases the life of the turbo. It releases the pressure with in the system when off throttle, hence the woosh...Its no performance mod, hope this helps

...but there is the question of how well it releases the pressure.
There can be a noticeable improvement - use a 'quality' DV, then switch back to the standard one & try an overtake involving a gearchange - it's bloody scary. The power you've become used to after a gearchange has just disappeared & you find yourself on the wrong sde of the road with no apparent acceleration...
But not everyone seems to notice this, so it might just be me. Hey-ho

Certianly it's not a 'measureable' performance upgrade, just like e.g. switching to coilovers, but I found it does make quite a difference. Although it can't be proved, no
I just find I don't like driving the car with the standard DV now.
