Had a weird experience on the way into work this morning.

It was warm outside (8am) and sunny, so I decided to turn on the aircon to cool things down a bit. After a few minutes I had fog coming out of the centre vents!!

Is this normal? It deffinitely was water vapour (no smell), and just hovered around the exit to the vents. The aircon worked fine on the way home today.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I think it is due to the warm, humid air being cooled quickly by the A/C and forming water vapour.
Don't think you have a problem.
I had this happen on a plane once which caused general panic as it became quite a fog which looked like smoke

I have had that happen a few times, looks real cool

I put it down to condensation.

It happens most if you have the air-con on for a bit then turn it off for what ever reason then turn it back on.

Regards,

Ian

Cool

Butty,

thanks for the re-assurance! You can imagine my initial horror as I saw 'smoke' emitting from the air vents!

I guess the air must have been very humid, as I think the vapour normally condenses-out further up the pipework.
