Get yourself an MY95/96 ecu which will fit straight in, thus starting you with 260ps on 100 ron fuel, there is also the scoobyecu route you can take.

get a scooby ecu
i have a my96 uk car-bought with exh and K&N induction kit on it..
r/roaded at 233bhp....
bought scooby ecu after checking old posts on the boards and decided to get one..
bought -cost about £75-...took it to york r/road yesterday...and it came back at around 300bhp......it spools better-more torque etc etc....its like a new car.it also ran 13.82 at the scooby shoot out with a full tank of gas(muppet!)..and a 1st time driver and an overflowing ashtray..
if you want some details for the person i bought it from-email me by my profile....
i'm sure theres others who will vouch for the scoobyecu....

Thumbs up

to get your car up to that power the scoobyecu is the best way forward, also fit at a de-cat downpipe and you will be knocking on the door of 290bhp

Simonz,
My car was pushing out 260ish bhp when last rolling roaded, she pushes a little more boost on the road when peaking (just under 1.2bar) where as on the rr it was peaking at 1.1 and settling at 1bar (my car is also a uk turbo and not a wrx import )
