this is an odd one but if anyone has any ideas.....

fitted my morrette lights to my MY01 today- no problems, but...

when i tried to shut the bonnet it wouldnt lock down

i checked everywhere to see if the bonnet was touching against anything in the engine bay but it all seemed clear.

anyway, the only way i got it to shut was to put a 2mm washer behind the bonnet latch (on the bonnet) so the hook part sat 2mm lower and this let it shut down further into the locking device and work as normal.

anything anyone can think of? or is this just dodgy jap build quality

It's probably sitting slightly on top of the Morette covers.

Not trying to tell you the obvious but you need to drop the bonnet to shut it from about 12" up (higher drop required than a MY00 cos it's ally and lighter). If it is closed by pushing it down it will dent....

dont think it was touching the lights, and trust me- i tried dropping it from a hight!

looks like i'll stick with the washers till its back at the dealers (for ppp sometime!)
