Unhappy

I need to get a replacement windscreen for my 95WRX (the crack is creeping across oh-er!).
Insurance uses Auto Windscreens but they can only get UK tints (blue, green) and mine is the jap import bronze/brown tint. It will look c***p with mixed tints so does anyone know a stockist of import screens or has anyone been round this loop and found a solution?

Thanks for any advice

Cheers

Dave

I had a similar problem when thieves broke in and smashed the nearside rear window on my 95WRX. Had to get it replaced quickly so Autoglass put a green tinted window in, and yes it looked c**p! I managed to get a brown tinted window from Grade A breakers

HELP!

The crack is growing daily!!!
Someone must have replaced a bronze/brown tint windscreen on an import. Where did you get the screen from?
I don't think the insurance company will appreciate Auto Windscreens getting one from a breakers yard!

Dave, don't worry, i had my bronze screen replaced about 4 months ago on my WRX and it was a perfect match. The windsceen replacement firm knew exactly which tint was required, (not blue or green tint).
Can't remember which company did it but it was one of the large national insurance apporved companies.
I will dig out the receipt tonight and let you have the info tomorrow.
