Waterspray (early version)

I finally got around to fitting the waterspray kit to my 93 WRX. The kit came off an STI 2 and has the original water bottle and pump. When fitting the water bottle i found this cable and plug taped up on the wiring loom nearby
Has anyone with an early STI or RA got this plug? and is it for the waterspray pump?
