With a forthcoming arrival of a Unichip, Im fancying at least KnockLink (not sure about LambdaLink) but dont know where to fit it tidyly (is that word....I dont know )

Anyway, where is a cool place to put them? I remember someone mentioning fitting it into the dash pod, now would be a good time to do that as its out of the car (and may be for sometime...see my other thread!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks for any suggestions

Richie

When Bob fitted mine, he put them in place of one of the DIN spaces in the dash - there is a plastic tray behind it.

Looks fairly tidy.

Thanks

Rich,

Have a word with Mike Tuckwood (Scooby Mania). He has his knocklink LED's mounted inside the main binacle and it looks superb! I know he has done same to Paul WALKER's car and again it looks factory fit.

Certainly going this way myself when I get round to it.

Cheers
Chris

It was Mike Im thinking of.
Where exactly do they go??

Is it not distracting or do the LEDs not flash much (depending on how badly my car is running )

Thanks

Question

Richie,

No, the LEDs are in the original place.

Mike's setup sounds excellent - are there any pictures available ?

Thanks

Richie

As Akira has alredy mentioned, Mike at Scoobymania supplied and fitted mine in the dashboard behind the perspex.

He has done a great job, as Chris has said, it looks factory fitted.

The LEDs are removed from the box and the fitted into small holes drilled into the binnacle by Mike.

As for distraction, it doesn`t bother me at all, when you do get activity you notice it which is what its all about.

Jase Cooper also has had his fitted there by Mike and beleive he is also very pleased.

Regards

Paul

I went one step further...

I have the Lambda and knock link LED's where the cup holder goes...

Didnt want to remove the dash cluster and drill it.

I made a fascia that simply clips in place of the cup holder... not cutting or drilling required...

Fascia follows the curve of the dash... divided into two...etc...
