Question

i'm thinkin' of changin' from red to the Mica blue in about November.
could i get a MY98 in it, with new 'momo' interior and bumper change?
or what year would i have to look at? MY99-
i'm in a MY97 and want to move up to the better interior and would like a mica blue 4door?

any help would be great.

The dark/deep mica was only from MY99 onwards, changed slightly for MY00. (it was olso available on cMY96). MY98 blue was the '555' redish blue

Cool

I believe it would be UK T-plates you'll be after. As well as the newer interior you'll also get uprated brakes from the STI and the 208->215bhp power hike

If you're planning on doing this from a garage prepare to be stung big-time on the trade-in.

Red face

yes i like the 555mica blue that is featured in truegrip, post card from trinidad.

I've spoken to the garage that sold me the car 18months ago, and i have delt with them B4 and they gave a good PX on my BM for the Scooby, so i hope they will look after me again!
But if they give me less 4 mine, wont the car i buy also be cheaper! as the slidind scale moves with both cars????

Would like £13K if not better!

They had silver,Treg in last week at £16995!

i will have to wait and see.

According to the stuff in the papers today, used prices (ie your p/ex) prices have dropped by 20% on average. New cars (read "the one your buying") have dropped by 5%.

That's the sort of parallel sliding scale we have to work with in "rip off Britain".

salsa...

I have a DBM V-Reg MY00 4-door turbo with 14,000 miles on the clock...I may be interested in selling. Is not the cheap crappy euro import model either ...so you'll get remaining 29month warranty.

email me off-line if you are interested

My 'cheap crappy euro import' is no different whatsover than a UK model, Salsa - why not look at getting a new one, I paid £14.7 all in including ST2s and some other extras.

Igratton - is it a case of sour grapes and falling residuals as more of us buy abroad ? at least you got a 3yr warranty against my 1!!!

MTR and Salsa,

When I was buying mine (MY00) the colour was being discussed as it changed from DARK blue mica (MY99) to DEEP blue mica (MY00). The MY00 is very subtly lighter than the previous colour, and next to each other you can see a difference.

Apologies if you already knew that. I was at the Midlands meet as you may recall we met you at Tamworth services. MTR had the green mica, mine was the DEEP blue mica one you couldn't find a picture of. See you at NM4?

Twas a joke....besides....I had the choice of either euro or UK...I just decided that the 3 year warranty suited me. I don't think IM will provide a warranty for the second and third years...which means the warranty I could have purchased myself would be nowhere near as inclusive.

Sorry If I upset you...

Salsa-King, My R Reg MY97 Scooby I sold in July was Dark Blue Mica, lovely colour but scratches very easily - be VERY careful when washing. As far as I know this colour has been widely available since MY97.
No such problems with my brand new Scoob in silver.....
