Garage told me I need a new steering rack for my MY96 wagon. Noticed much more play in the wheel. Where can I get these from and how much?

Is a second hand steering rack a bad idea?

 

I would avoid a second hand steering rack like the plague unless youre confident that you can see the vehicle its coming off & its not been badly smacked in the rear, certainly avoid any smacked in the front, most automotive suppliers can get hold of steering racks
