Could anyone give me some decent guidelines on fitting one? Should I be doing it myself?

Tim.

The washers are a good tip, with perhaps some grease or such like below them. I found that when I removed my OMP bolt on brace, it removed lots of the 'gooey' sealant stuff thay put round the seams of the strut.

The actual fitting of the OMP version just involves loosening 2 (or was it 3?) of the strut top bolts on each side, playing around with the adjusting nut in the strut bar to get it to fit and then doing up the top bolts.

Somebody did once suggest that its worthwhile getting the geometry checked after fitting, although I admit that I didn't bother.

I fitted mine by myself, took ten mins.
Transformed the car though.
Best to get the geometry checked too.

Stef.
