Hi Peeps,

Ive had 1 problem for a while and have been letting get worse so that even a chimp (subaru Technician) can detect it, basically the first problem is like the transmission is very rough especially when there is nuetral load (makes you feel like your running on gravel)

Anyone got any idea's what this might be as ive got to take the car in for the second problem that has just developed.

Second Problem:

Happend suddenly (on the motorway at legal speeds), basically what i inially noticed was the exhaust note was considerably noisier arround the 2-4k rpm mark and also different in sound (difficult to describe, not like 'blowing'). Another thing is that the turbo is considerably noisier and a differnt sound too (sounds like when you whistle while breathing in) also at tickover there is quite a loud high pitched noise (like a high frequency transformer) coming from under the car/arround/below the turbo(ish) the volume randomly changing.

any ideas what these things might be?

The cat could of checked out, but maybe not on a 2003 car. Worth a try eh?

Thnaks for the reply

Ginger or Tabby

Thats what i was thinking, i was told that when the PPP is fitted its the ECU, intercooler pipe & Back box only changed. Other people are convinced the 'Uppipe' is changed too (is that where one cat is?), what im wondering is if the pack has changed since april because they have a problem.

Also new to my problem is a 'tapping' (at cam speed) like a hydrolic valve spacing thingy is dry (lasted for about 10mins from cold)

This car also randomly eat oil like some of the other 03's have been experiencing.
