My MY98 is currently in Ace Kensington for a 45000 mile service. They advise that the front and rear discs and pads need replacing. As the dealer prices are steep, could anyone recommend decent upgrades at a reasonable price. I thought of

Black diamond drilled/grooved front discs
BD drilled only rear discs
Pagid fast road pads all round
Castrol response fluid
Braided hoses

Any experiences with the above would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Your most cost-effective option might be to buy some low mileage, second-hand STi 4-pot brakes from someone upgrading the brakes on an MY99 or a Jap import. Fitting these, along with braided hoses and new fluid should be do-able for somewhere in the region of 500ukp.

I'm currently looking at this option myself for my MY98. Pajid pads and Group N discs are extras I'll probably fit as replacement parts when required.

Thanks for that - better than the £900 the dealer quoted for pads and discs!!

Is the warranty still OK if you fit after market brake parts.

£900 - ****, I'll start going a bit easier on mine.
