Hi Folks,
I have noticed on my UK MY98 turbo that I can hear the turbo spin up (which I heard from new) but now I get a whoosh sound when I change gear. Obviously this only happens when I doing about 3,500 rpm onwards. I have read the FAQ about the blow off valve and other posting about it. As I have never had a turbo car before I am not sure whether its right or wrong. More info I have had from new Oct '98 and have covered 2,500 miles. It didn't seem to do this from new but I ran it in fairly carefully. This may sound funny but it is worse with the drivers window open and seems to whistle a little bit on tickover. The car seems to accelerate ok , any ideas ?
