HI
Is it necessary to change or update the ECU when removing the two catalytic converter ?
Is it bad for the car without cat.conv.??!

Hello,
there is no problem in removing the cata !!!
There are 2 catas, one after the turbo and the other in the middle of the car.
If you only remove the first cata you'll get more power and then you don't have to worry about pollution law, because the car still works very clean !!!

Do you know of there a kit is on the market to replace te cata?

Sjaak,

the part you need to replace is the downpipe from the turbo, which contains the first/only Cat. There are several suppliers, including Scoobysport in the UK, and HKS (and probably a few others) from Japan. Any exhaust system which replaces everything from the turbo back will probably do the same, although some do have an option for a pipe to replace the Cat, but allow it to be put back in later if required (eg for MOT/emmissions checks)
