Has anybody replaced the Stereo in a MY95 STi or other MY95. Called me a tight a tight b*****d if you must, but after spend well over a grand on my STi in the first month, i thought that i would replace the Addzest currently in the car with a the nice Sony CD player from my old car.

So out came the tools, sat in the drivers seat and continued sitting in the drivers seat for about the next 10 minutes, wondering how the hell I was going to get the damn thing out of the dash!
The only screws I could find where behind the handbrake, which meant I would have to take off all the platic panels between there and the stereo!

Is this the only way or am I being incredibily stupid and missing the obvious.

Pull your drinks thingy out and there's two screws, then pull the gear stick gaitor off and there's some more, then the surround should lift off and you've got access all areas.

If only you'd sat there for 15 minutes like I did you'd have found them.
