Hello
I've just taken delivery of my Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type R and I have a question (don't laugh please!):
When would I want to use the Automatic I/C Water Cooler switch or the manual one??
I can't imagine I'd ever drive it hard enough to use them -- so under what circumstances do you guys recommend the use?
Thanks for your help!
A very impressed, but slightly confused, Steve.

Intercooler spray is used in order to cool down the air intake i.e more power for the turbo with cooler air.
So when u want to race and the outside temperature is hot use the i/c spray to cool down the air. U can use the auto function so the computer will spray for u if it thinks the air is too hot.Basically if the person next to u wants to race, sparay some water and off u go. Easiest is leave it on auto but use manual spray if u want to run fast and hard.
take care and have fun.
