air con condenser replacing
just found out my condenser is up the spout.
how hard is it to replace.there is no gas in it at all now.
is there anything i have to be careful with when replacing.
then its straight to the air con shop to be gassed up
btw its a my94 uk wagon turbo

if it's empty, then nothing dangerous.
the only thing to concern you is how much oil is in there cos you'll need to replace that amount to keep the compressor in good working order. i think you'll have trouble measuring the oil in there, so i would just add a failry typical amount of 30cc to the new one. the question is, where to get this oil? the people you take it to to gas it up should have some, but make sure it's compatible with your compressor, and then they can add it when they fill the system.
