Hi,

My cousin's boyfriend has just bought a 1993 Legacy GT/B twin turbo import.

It's an Auto.

Could anyone give me ANY information at all on this car, bhp, torque, top speed, what turbos are fitted etc. etc. as he's bought it knowing pretty much nothing about the marque and I'm not that well up on Legacies.

I've not even seen the car yet.

Any info at all would be appreciated.

Cheers

Rich

I nearly bought one before I nought my WRX and found, as you're probably finding now, there's very little info out there (one of the things that put me off buying it).

I beleive that they are 240PS as standard, twin turbo (obviously) one smaller turbo for the bottom end and then a TD05 (?) for the top. Much more torquey than the WRX (IIRC) but not as much at the top end.

And that was as much as I found out. Uselss, eh?

Hi,

Thanks m8.

Just scoured the web looking and can find no specs at all.

At least that is something.

Thanks

Rich,
Try Yahoo groups/legacy/b4, there are plenty of people on there that know about these cars, from all over the world, I have a 2000GTB, great cars but too little is known about them in the UK as they are not officialy imported.

Cheers,
Simon

Some basic info: 1370 kg, 250 ps (183.88 kw) / 6500 rpm, 31.5 kgEm (308.91 NEm) / 5000 rpm, PWR 5.48 kg/ps

Join the LegacyB4 group on yahoo as that is where the TT owners all hang out (megatons of info and experience there).

Being JDM, it will be happier on the best juice you can feed it. Watch for all the usual scoob ailments, a knocklink ain't a bad idea and the BOVs are known to be fairly 5hite placky things on that era. Check the end links, coz if has carried loads, they'll likely be shot. Many of those sorta parts are the same as the Impreza (ARBs are different though).

Oh, and check the tranny and diff fluids etc, as is common across Subes, good, clean stuff is important (and autos can shift very poorly when the fluid is shot).

HTH for starters
