Question

I've just booked my car (MY99 Turbo) in at TEG for a replacement clutch.
Is there anything I need to do when I pick it up ?
I'm thinking along the lines of new brake pads & discs need bedding in correctly to get the best out of them, so does a clutch need "bedding in" or is it just a case of off we go ! ( as apposed to the current situation of floor it - wait - wait - go )

Any advice greatly accepted (even none car related )

Got my warrenty-clutch judder clutch fitted on wednesday...

Told to make sure i didnt do ANY quick starts for at least 100 miles - no hill start/holding the car on the clutch to stop it rolling backwards - and no fast changes with WOT.

Feels much better - the clutch bites about 1.5 inches lower down than it did...

Just take it easy - as you said - like you would with your breaks.

Towers! How you doin mate?

When i had my clutch fitted i took it easy for about 300 miles and then progressively got faster and faster. I was told that i should take it easy for the first couple of hundred miles at least.
It wasnt easy having people trying it on, i had to just potter along and ignore them much to my frustration!

Sorry to hear about your clutch mate, and as you said in your e-mail, if you decide to sell, give us a shout.

Cheers

Steve.
