How do you remove window winder handles
#2
Pop the centre cover out with a sharp knife & a phillips screwdriver should do the rest. Of course I am talking 17 years ago on a Ford Escort MK1, so...........
This is a joke, right?

circlip thingy on most more modern window winders. Need a THIN flat screwdriver to pop it out of way. Did read in Haynes manual for old VX once a modified coat hanger will do it, bend the end over into a hook. Good luck I've always found 'em a nightmare. Guess some one on here may have a better idea od how to do it

Just take a fork and remove the two inner pins, so you will get a two pin fork.
With that "tool" you can push the circlip that sits between the door panel and the handle.
Beware not to loose it, as it pops out and flies away...
