Hoping someone can give me a helping hand here...

I've had my gorgeous black Type R for about 2 weeks now and had loads of fun getting used to the Scoobs characteristics and sheer acceleration ability. I've also found it interestingly practical compared to my last car - Mitsibushi FTO Version R.

One of the features of the Type R as I'm sure most of you will know is the adjustable diff by way of a 'roller' control in the centre handbrake console.

My question is simple - does anyone have a list, reference, handbook etc. of what each of the 5 (plus 'Lock') adjustable settings do or are recommended for (i.e does anyone know the actual ratios, say 30/70 by using setting '2' etc. or is any particular setting recommended for day to day driving?)

Might sound like a divvy question but today has been my first chance to take it for a spin in the wet and whilst all the settings kept the car firmly on the tarmac (even when cornering pretty sharpish around the local country lanes) most of the top ones (top 4 below 'lock') felt like they should be lower speed ratios like for gravel etc...any ideas?

Dan, you really are 'the man' - thanks very much, it's exactly what I was after. Thanks also (as suggested) to Mr johnfelstead from a thread of a few years ago - your hard work lives on!

I can go have a proper play again now! (with the car and diff that is...)

Yeah, thats the article to read...

I usually only wind it up in the wet and just wind it back again when I have to pull up and park.

In the dry I normally have it fully open unless I think 'something exciting' may be about to happen with an EVO or M3 when I might wind it up a notch or three.
