if i bought a uprated fuel pump for my car, would the ecu need remapped?

nope. but as i understand it, if you uprate your pump and pressure regulator you can get your injectors to run at say 110%, or maybe more, which, if you`re going for 350-400bhp in the future, will mean that you wont need bigger injectors before you get a re-map..........i think!!!! hope that makes sense

apaerntly its has bigger injectors as standerd

i think i was told there 440`s?

the car is 276bhp as standerd im i am kinda planning about 320bhp once im finnished these mods lol

so any recomendations on fuel pumps then?

ohh forgot to add that the injectors run at 90% at the moment ?
is that a sign that i need more juice?

i got the walbro pump and fse fuel pressure reg from mark @ lateral performance (e-mail m@rk-a.com).......cheapest i could find. If you get them fitted and set the fuel pressure at 3.2-3.5bar your injector duty thingamy will drop, mine did.

surely you would have to get the car remapped as the injector cycles are looked up off the map as the ecu is still expecting the same fuel pressure

i changed my pump just before a re-map and everything was spot according to my SECS unit and knocklink and the way it drove on the way up to get the re-map

edited to say my lambdalink was ok too
