Bit difficult to explain but i'll try 
Right if you look where the Washer Bottle is mounted (Year dependant I think, mine was on a '99 STI 5), you can see the beam of the chassis - back towards the bulkhead, there are 2 big holes in the beam, you'll probably have to take the intercooler off too for access, I put mine on some vibration absorbing rubber, and then mounted using two big bolts to the chassis direct, it held on fine and didnt make too much of a horrendous noise when the pump activated.
