ECU Difference

Hi All,
Does anyone know if there is any difference in the ecus between an auto and manual and are they interchangable ?

Not aware of a difference, but I've never remapped an OEM ECU on an auto or connected to one. The new age ECUs have boost control tables for automatics which usually mirror the manual versions. Interesting, I think these are used on the map switching WRX ECUs to allow an alternate set of boost controls to give a two stage map.

Yes slightly but you just don't connect the cable that talks to the auto computer, you can not use a manual ECU in an auto though
