Hi guys,

I have noticed that my A/f doing very weird after installing an induction kit. When the car is warm, my A/f meter gives 0,01 volt when i make cruise speed. The throttle is open just a little steady at 60 mhp. Normally it will jump from 0,20 to 0,70 and keep jumping. But sometimes it stays on 0,01 after some seconds the problem is over if you stay on the gas, or you have to lift up and push a little the throttle then this also will help.
Have someone got this problem, I have a 1998 so no MAF problem.

My MY97WRX had fuelling problems, which where discovered when I went on a Power Engineering rolling road day. I had a full decat that I fitted and a HKS induction kit that was on the car when it came over from Japan. The ind kit caused a lean spot between 1500-2000 rpm that got mapped around when the phase 1 conversion was installed. Your RPM's sound like they should be a bit higher than these though. I'd suggest you get it checked on a rolling road to see exactley whats happening if possible.

Someone has told me that the oem maf sensor very sensitive is for this kind of modification. Is this.
The problem is not regular, so that is weird.
Bruce is the lean problem every time when you reach the 1500-2000 rpm??

Yes the lean problem was there every time, I could feel the car stuttering when driving slowly through this rev range. The MAF was changed as a precaution as the car was lean throughout the entire rev range, but made no difference. Mervyn at PE adjusted the fuelling to sort the problem out.

If you're at cruise when it's behaving strangely, it's likely to be the lambda sensor - commonly when they're on their way out, they read a constant low value. Which sounds about right!
Can't see how it's connected to changing the induction kit, but hey-ho
Lambdas should be considered as consumables - 3 years is probably a reasonable life. So it may just be nothing other than it's worn out.

I have changed mine lambda already, problem still there. I know for sure that the induction kit cause this problem. When i put the filter house back the problem is gone.
