they will fit, but beware most early WRXs have the lambda sensor in one of the headers, if so he will be stuck, although you can usually use one in an aftermarket downpipe if it hasn't been permanently blocked

I have transferred my Lambda sensor from the headers to my aftermarket downpipe with no problems on my MY94 car.

OK another question on headers.
Are the WRX headers the same as UK ones?

the lambda is in the downpipe on all uk cars but as paul said early wrx's (up to 96) are in the headers.

apart from that yes they are the same!

There are differences between the collectors. Early cars, MY93-MY96 have a lambda boss in the collector. Later cars (MY97-MY00) moved the lambda sensor to the downpipe and do not have the boss. ADDITIONALLY the early collectors have equal lengths per port, whereas the later ones do not; whether this is an advantage is unclear as the gasses have to follow a convoluted path. Later still (MY01-MY02, possibly MY03) the collectors re-introduced the lambda boss, since the primary AFR sensor has to be ahead of the pre-cat to function correctly.

There do appear to be subtle differences between the Legacy collectors and the Impreza collectors. But then there are differences in the heads as well...

Hope this helps,

Pat.
