Of course they are not for road use,

The car has to be decatted and fitted with a vta for best effects

The flamer kit can be turned off and this is recommended especially around gas leaks ,petrol stations and police cars

Pointless? some people love flames and they certainly look the nuts alsthough expect "elder" people to flag you down and say you have flames coming out of your car

Also good for fibre glass cars that get to close

Of course with practise you would naturally get flames from a fully decatted car, though the flamer kit gives you much more without the effort.

Have to watch the backbox is not too thick when locating the spark plug.....

Forget all those old farts on this thread saying don't do it....leave them to songs of praise on sundays sitting in their fav comfy arm chair tucked up nicely in a thick brown wolly cardi and cords.

Anyway, why can't a fella go and buy a total nutter motor and fit a flamer kit, the 2 go together like strawberries and cream.

Question

OK I wanna know how come when you go to Rally-X meets the cars going round the track without an extra oz of weight on them (apart from some of the drivers guts), how come they shoot 6 feet of flame out of their zorsts? Please don't tell me they have flamer kits fitted to try and put off other drivers by melting sh1te out of them. Someone with knowledge please explain 'cos I don't see why flamer kits even need to exist.

Just guessing here but they have no Cats for a start, running stupidly high BHP and boost pressure (and most probably anti lag) and run VERY rich... all these mixed together with the thrashing off the car = a Very hot zorts lots of unburnt fuel and massive flames because the fuel gets ignited by the red hot zorst on it's way out.

Flamer Kits,

Really FCukin sad.
We'll all be getting pulled over more and more just for having loud exhausts if the flamer boys get their way.

Impreza = Max power Wankk if you really want it to.

Jamesn - stop crying. Flamer kits have to be THE funniest toy for your scoob.
I'm 30, married, 2 kids and this side of a crate of beer, the FA cup and a Playstation 2 for after can't think of a better way to have some fun. In case your wondering I drive a brand new WRX (less than 2k on the clock) and can't wait to get a flamer kit done. Christ your only here once u might as well enjoy yourself, lol
You've got your 50's and 60's ahead of u mate to p#ss and moan about "...young men these days".
And i don't want to see a reply about "bringing back national service/hanging and it wasnt like that in my day..blah, blah".
lol
BTW - if your gonna get propper flames then at least go for a full decat zorst, EcuTek remap (loadsa fuel!) and a dump valve (loud or quiet, it's only there 4 the flames).

sorry, couldnt help myself.....lol.
S'pose that at the end of the day the odd flame out the back of your zorst is a very subjective thing. Not everyone buys a car (thats based on a rally car) and likes flames out the back (like a rally car). After all some people like to proudly display a tartan rug and box of tissues on their rear parcel shelf.
Nope your right, flames are definately not 4 everyone.

woohooo.. people like me .. and someone other than me who bites back at old moaning qoits

Yeah gonna get a kit on.. and im gonna get a TSL fast cat (when they finish developing it and giving that its worth the money) dont want to mess about with chipping yet.. but i am gonna get a dump valve.. coz i miss the sound when i change gear on my sti8.. sigh... roll on you ******* 1000miles.. done 300 in one day so im on track for my Wednesday service.. then i can really have fun!!
Does anyone know if i will still get decent granny scaring flames with a fast flow cat??? (im a tad worried about all this back pressure and over boost hoopla with the new Sti.. and its my baby so im gonna play it semi safe)

Cheers my dears!!

Cya at all the meets...

Ring the guys at xtreme scoobies on 01245 363623. Sod the fast flow CAT, get a full decat and spend 99p on a brass restrictor valve to stop any nasty overboosting. No matter how fast the Cat flows it's still gonna slow the flow and u wont get those lurvly flames.
