Does anyone know if fitting an Apexi AFC negates the need to also fit a fuel-cut defender?

If you fit the Apexi fuel controller you will still need to fit the fuel cut defencer if you want to increase the boost because the AFC is for fuel mapping whereas the FCD is to adjust the boost cut.
