Question

Hi All

Does a SECS read the boost correctly with a MY01 PPP ECU????

All the best
Pete

Probably not because if I'm correct that model has a piggyback device intercepting the signals going to the ECU to fool it into thinking boost is lower than it really is. A kinda crude way of getting the ECU to run more boost, and since the SECS sees only what the ECU sees it will read too low.

An independant boost gauge will give the correct reading (allowing for an error margin) because it is connected straight to the manifold.
