Hi folks. A quick question about the above...
I Replaced the standard panel filter from my UK '00 MY impreza turbo with an ITG jobbie some 2.5k miles ago. I found it to be an extremely tight fit, but experienced no other problems and the car has been running smoothly since then, fractionally better, even. The car does not have any other mods as yet, but a scoobyworld de-cat centre section and back box(the hayward and scott one) are planned. I always fill up with optimax, and a recent Subaru Health Check (service last week) reported no problems.
Right then, I've just been told that the ITG can cause problems, especially if used without any other mods, and that I'd be better off switching back to the standard one.
Does anyone have any horror stories they'd like to share? Similarly, does anyone have any good reports? Are there any symptoms/indicators of ITG induced problems I should look out for?
THanks in advance
Kev

Cheers for the replies chaps. As i said, it's been in for 2.5k miles without any problems, and I'm pretty sure I fitted it properly.
Any more comments before this thread gets burried?

Just watch the MAF sensor... the MY99 on ones are very sensitive. As long as no oil is getting out on the "clean" side of the filter it shouldn't cause any probs.
