doh to hasty with enter key lol

fitting a non subaru lamba sensor to 95 wrx 3wire version

i have 3 subaru side wires to connect to can anyone tell me what they are

1 x white wire with brown bands
1 x red wire with blue bands
1 x black wire with red bands

The white wire is the signal and the black and red the heater positive and negative.

If it's the universal sensor you have you will have two wires the same colour.... connect these to the red and black (doesn't matter which way round) and the other wire to the white signal wire.

Morgan - Sorry to jump in but where did you get your sensor from and how much was it - only asking as I need to replace mine and don't want to pay for subaru parts .thanks

got me 3 wire from jap auto spares in cov it was

£44.65 inc vat and carrige

they also do 4 wire which i have currently fitted, 4th is for ground which never got connected, prolly why it hasnt been switchin porper in hindsight, a mate who works in a large subaru automotive place in warickshire reccomended them, number is

024 76474848

Morgan,

D'you know if these are model and/or year specific? I've got a UK98 which might need one and I don't fancy giving Subaru £100 for the OE part.

not sure tbh my lamba is on bottom left side of engine and wire runs to a plug near top L.h.s. it goes directly into the exhaust at bottom i guess yours will be in a similar place i think it will be 4 wire though not a prob if it aint you just need to earth the extra earth wire, (i didnt duh)

i read a post the other day from sumbody who got one from halfordsfor about £25?
