Question

Well..... Can you ?

I'm hopeful that either John Banks or Mycroft may be able to give a definitive answer to me (admittedly one of the lesser technically knowledgable species ) on this one

MY99 and only light mods = downpipe/BB and Green air filter.

Started using NF around 2 months ago. Loved it and improved smoothness etc The car is driven hard and although deemed unnecessary for UK cars felt it couldn't do any harm to give it improved juice

Then..... *whisper mode on* admittedly got a bit carried away and started using more and more .... (addictive stuff this..ain't it John ) Possibly up to 1/2 a bottle per tank and er maybe more

Started robbing old ladies to feed my habit

Car seemed to hold back around 5k, hesitate, or the odd instant miss on full throttle then pull strongly

So what really happens here... ?

Do things get retarded / advanced to such a point that it can go no further ? Just that I've heard that the RON will only actually increase marginally and less than manufacturers claims

Anyway.....weened the tank off it's rather rich diet of Optimax and put it on a strict diet of SUL. Runs and pulls perfectly

Sorry for the waffle but I know you all like a bit of background

Cheers
Si
