as above. Want to know what the difference in sound is with the different coloured inserts. Changed a Blitz ssbov for the hks and it doesn't sound that different.

Mine has the purple insert. Anyone know what it's like with the gold one?.

I was after a more high pitched whistling noise dump..ooeer

 

as you said with the circular purple insert in it sounds like most other dump valves, but with the triangular silver insert in it is a very high pitched screech! sounds much better like that imo.

 

yep.. I 2nd that.. the silver fin is much more louder than the purple.. you won't be dissapointed

Look on the HKS USA website, they tell you about he different sounds of the inserts, can't remember the adress though

 

I have the normal purple one, and find it makes much better noises when you turn the boost up. It also sounds good backing off slowly.....

torque developments in barking should be able to source different vanes for you

 

I got a silver insert today on another bov..

It's superb!, much better than the purple one, just the sound I was after..
