I am in the process of getting and fitting a vf28 and gems to my uk97.
I am after reaching about 320 bhp but I am a bit weary of leaving the car at home with the missus, and her driving to shops with that much power.
Is there some kind of boost controller around with which I can turn the boost down while I'm at work??
Something cheap if you can.
P.S I want it in car as well.

Not sure about how the Gems ECU works, but couldn't you have 2 maps for it - one with low boost, and one with proper boost, operated by something like the bright switch?

GEMS have switchable maps but only on the MY99-00 ecu.

With a little trickery the temperature compensation table can be used as an effective tool to alter other parameters, in effect creating multiple maps.

Sod.
And as for not letting her drive it, she's letting me have a new turbo and gems, how can I refuse?
Besides she'd just take it anyway and has to drive it to fetch me from the pub.

Cool

Is your wife _really_ more likely to have a _power_level_ related accident than you are?
