Unhappy

1993 WRX 74000 klms, the exhaust is a HKS unit, very large diameter like a dran pipe, this is mated up to a scoobysport 3 inch open neck down pipe, the headers have been ported, the system is fully decatted,HKS induction kit, looks like a big green mushroom HKS Dump valve.

that's the car but I took it out to day & its gutless completely gutless, it revs fine goes OK but there is no bang or kick, its running optimax as well 1/2 a tank which was put in yesterday.

any suggestions as to where I start looking ?

Cheers

Any idea what the boost is doing? The ECU could be in "sulk mode"

0.6 bar is the boost which is 0.2 bar low for this car.

Wonder if I have a leak somewhere

Barge, I had exactly this problem at Well Lane today. oing down there the car was producing 0.9bar and running really well. But when put on the rollers it wouldn't go over 0.6 bar. To say I wasn't happy was an understatement after a 2.5 hour journey. Then low and behold it ran perfectly all the way home! That really pi**ed me off.
I was told at Well Lane that it could either be a leaking vaccuum hose or possibly the engine reading a slight knock and retarding the boost. I'm off to the local garage ASAP to get a select monitor put on it whilst caning it up the road!
