After I drive my MY03, when the car is not moving the cooling fans start. At that moment if I turn off the ignition and remove the key the cooling fans stop.

Is this normal ?

My former car used to keep the cooling fans working even if I would remove the keys from the ignition.

cheers,
radu

It seems to be normal for Subaru yes. If you desperately want to run the fans engine off, you can turn the ignition back on and drain the battery for a while!

If they start, I always wait until they have finished... this is even after the 'wait for it to cool down stage' after giving it a bit of a work out

Richie.
