If you get bored making "whoosh" sounds, you can always crash some supermarket trolleys together as this is a similar sound

Thumbs up

Can't add any noise files yet 'cos my WRX is still on the standard recirc unit but I've just ordered an APS BOV (dual, recirc and vta) so I'm looking forward to a bit of noise soon (not too much hopefully).

Fitted a trust induction kit on my STI8 and it sounds like a dump valve on gear change. Not sure the dump valve actually makes a diff to the car. Reports I have heard say no? Mind you saying that the same is true about the induction kit ....haha

Well, I have fitted what must be the best BOV out there. A Stealth Adjustable Noise BOV, made by GFB.

It is hybrid (vents to atmosphere, and recirculate), BUT - you can adjust the "mix"...when wife is with, I set it to stealth, meaning recirculte only, for normal driving i set it about halfway, and when I feel like being a hooligan I set it to vent to atmosphere only...It is really cool to be able to set the noise exactly as hard/soft as you want it...

paul...you can order it from MRT in aus...or go to the GFB website, and find a supplier near you...
http://www.gofastbits.com.au/...you want the Stealth FX (for MY01 onwards cars)

It is really very very easy to adjust...There's one adjustment for noise, and one for spring tension. Basically you set and forget the spring tension one...the noise can be adjusted by turning a dial - very very easy (takes longer to open the bonnet than to adjust the noise).
