Question

I've just had a WR Sport back box fitted and love the noise! I am assuming that there is no performance increase with this, but wondered if a decat centre section was added what this would do? The car is an MY01 WRX, with no other mods.

Dan, removing centre decat will increase power a tad, main increase is with downpipe, full decat will give 25bhp ish, I imagine mid section is 5bhp extra (ish) so go for the lot.

Marc R,

I'm just about to fit SS down pipe and Blitz exhaust. This will go along with uprated fuel pump, FSE regulator and induction kit.

A 93 WRX runs at 240BHP as standard, so do you think with these mods, i should see somewhere close to 265BHP?? What do others think also?

Looks like the lot needs replacing then! So after back box, I will start with the centre. Now there are two pieces in the centre, do both need replacing or just the cat? After the centre, is there only the up and down pipes left? If so which first?

Basically could someone please tell me the order for replacing my standard exhaust with better parts, or does it not matter. Also a list of what people think are the best bits would be good (I have a WR sport bb and don't really want to change that so must compliment).

Cheers,

Dan.

Sparkster, i reckon you will see about 270bhp maybe 275!

I have a MY95 wrx (apparently 260bhp but some say 250) and i put on a scoobycport downpipe, Blitz Nur Spec R and Blitz induction kit and i hit 291 and 292 on 2 runs.
