I have a Legacy Turbo Estate:
Mongoose SS Exhaust
HKS Panel Filter
HKS Iridium Plugs
Lambda Link
Blitz Boost Gauge
SUPERCHIP (Yes, its my first high performance car so i didn't know)
16" Impreza Alloys
Eagle F1 tyres

Any advice about the SUPERCHIP it is running at 1.2 Bar boost max but it has spiked up to 1.3 once in a while (I took my foot right off the pedal!)

Should i replace it and what with? Not too much money but reliable

I'm getting Koni shockers and a B&M quickshifter fitted and will have too much cash available

Thanks

Best thing to do it get a knocklink and then adjust the bleed valve so you run low enough boost that it does not det, and then turn it back more for a safety margin, or use higher octane than you set it up on as your safety margin. The absence of a fuel cut whilst not ideal is less of an issue than the probability of det at this level of boost.

Thanks for the advice. I always fill up with OPTIMAX petrol and Millers OCTANE BOOSTER. Is that enough to protect it from that?

The only answer is to have a knocklink to know. No one can tell you 1.2 to 1.3 bar will not cause det on a given octane of pump fuel, you need to find out on your car.
