Just bought a Apexi AVC-R and am planning on fitting it this friday coming. I am fitting it into a 1995 WRX. Any help, advice or pictures of people that have them fitted etc.. would be of big help as once those ECU wires are cut i got to get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Plus when the Apexi is set up, what kind of settings should i be running on my 1995 WRX with the following mods

HKS Sequential Dump Valve
HKS Super Power Flow Induction Kit
HKS Widened Downpipe
HKS Full Hyper Exhaust system

tweenierob, if you are doing one on Saturday, perhaps you could take some pictures/create a how-to?? As I see a lot of people ask how to install one.

Don't really have any install pictures.

Are you fitting the AFC-R as well ?

DP Motorsports in Warrington sorted mine out ~ so unfortunately I can't really add much

Cheers

Unfortunately the pics are quite old... sold the car in Dec 2001

Amazing piece of kit though. Ran a nice 24PSI boost on High and 10PSI on low.

Also known as the pressure sensor. it is the sensor that reads the boost/vacumn levels, a pipe runs from the manifold or fuel reg pipe to it.

I've just installed one on my 94 import.

Wasn't too difficult after I had worked out the way to do it.

BTW, you don't need to cut any ECU wires! - just use scotblock connectors to tap into the feed.

The COM comes directly from the wastegate
The NC goes back into the airbox (underneath)
The NO goes back into the turbo after the compressor

I tapped into the middle pressure line on the surge tank for the pressure sensor using one of the supplied T pieces.

Just block up all lines that you remove from the standard setup if you intend to keep them in situ.

The picture that was shown in this post is exactly where I located my solenoid (coincedence?) Right next to the standard one.

Best of luck, and remember - disconnect the battery first

Have you got a FCD?

I can't run above .99 kg without cutting the ECU, although I have got a power FC to put in once the fuel pump is uprated (today if I get the time).

The fitting was fairly straight forward. I can take pictures if anyone is having any trouble with the fitting.
