Hi,
I haven't got a lot of advice because I'm pretty new to the Scooby scene myself. However,be warned and be careful!
I bought a late '97 Forester (non turbo) which has developed an annoying acceleration prob. and severe VHF radio interference. After considerable main dealer headscrathing etc., they said it had to be the ECU at about £500!but with no guarantee of curing prob. Subaru UK not interested under warranty. So 9 months later it spends most its time in my garage until i get a sensible solution or find a suitable cliff! I've now returned to driving my F reg. 4w/d Toyota Corolla est. which has never let me down!(yet)
So good luck but be wary. Nick
