Does anybody know if a P1 intercooler would fit in a MY99 UK spec Impreza turbo. Also does it have a larger core than the standard MY99 intercooler.

The p1 intercooler is the same as the STI V and yes it fits the MY99 (I've got an STI V on my MY99). They look pretty much identical but I'm reliably informed the core is slightly different and in fairness the boost went up a tad. You won't notice the difference to drive it but if you want a little extra safety then go for it

 

Apparently slightly lower pressure drop - if you can get the Prodrive or STi or Samco intercooler hoses they also make a decent difference to flow. Whether you notice depends on you really, subtle but worthwhile differences.
