What's the best dump valve for a standard WRX 2002?

Thumbs up

I'm looking myself at the moment for my 02 WRX with PPP.

Fancy the noise that goes with the vent to atmosphere units but I belive you need to select a VTA model carefully, a non twin-piston type may lead to uneven idle and possible starting problems (something to do with incorrect fueling for one of the sensors?).

I'm sure the the standard recirculating unit is up to the job but I want a bit of noise and a few threads for VTA dump valves implies a slight increase in smoothness under hard acceleration when getting back on the gas after a gear change.

I'm looking at the moment at getting a MRT Hybrid model which offers recirculation and VTA so helps the idle smoothness but also gives the noise assosciated with VTA models.

Just my thoughts based on various threads I've read on here so don't take it as gospel.

A couple of us (And quite a few more on here) are using Forge VTA dump valves on our 01>.....
I was sceptical like you before I bought one thinking it would cause idling problems etc,etc and to be honest, the car runs as sweet as it did prior to the DV being fitted!! Ain't really noticed a difference in fuel consumption either which was another worry after readin comments on here!!

Good luck

Nick
